Is the information about a particular person that exists on the internet as result of their online activity. Digital footprint is a trail of data that is created to collect information about a specific individual without their knowledge.( Margaret Rouse,2016)

Can digital footprint be a problem?

Digital footprint can be a problem because it is  a trail you leave behind on the internet concerning your reputation when you share updates, post pictures and statuses about your life and that can easily hurt you, as not many people in the cyberspace are good citizens other use the internet to stalker other people or to try and tarnish an individual’s life. Your footprint can give away so much information about you, where you work, where you stay, how old you and your physic are and that on its own can ruin your reputation, personal life and business if you involved in one.
